מוזיקה תימנית יהודית מוזיקה יהודית תימנית מוזיקה יהודית מזרחית מוזיקה ערבית ישראלית מוזיקת כליזמר מוזיקה ספרדית מוזיקה יהודית עיראקית מתחילת גלות בבל בשנת 586 לפנה"ס והקמת התפוצה היהודית בדרום חצי האי ערב לאחר מכן, צצה מסורת מוזיקלית פולקלורית תימנית ייחודית תחת אילוצים חברתיים-דתיים חמורים (1) . בהתאם לגזירה - צו רבני של אבל קהילתי על בית המקדש - האוכלוסייה אסרה מרצונה את פריסת כלי נגינה קונבנציונליים (2) . הגבלה דתית פנימית זו חוזקה עוד יותר על ידי מסגרות משפטיות חיצוניות תחת ממשל אסלאמי מקומי, שהטילו תקנות מגבילות למעמד של ד'ימי (לא-מוסלמים מוגנים) על הקהילה, האוסרות במפורש על הופעות מוזיקליות פומביות והפקת רעש מוגזמת (3) . כדי לעקוף את האיסורים המוסדיים והליטורגיים הללו, יהודי תימן חידשו פרקטיקות קוליות אלטרנטיביות על ידי שימוש בגוף האדם ובחפצים ביתיים שימושיים ככלי נגינה אקוסטיים עיקריים (4) . הקהילה פיתחה מתודולוגיית ביצוע סומטית מתוחכמת המאופיינת במחיאות כפיים פולירמית מורכבות, כלי הקשה מסונכרנים על החזה ורקיעות מדודות על הרגליים (2,4) . עיבוד זה שימר ביעילות את מורשתם התרבותית והליטורגית באמצעות מדיום קולי וגשמי לחלוטין. לכלי הקשה, הם אימצו את התנאקה (פח שמן מתכת ריק או פח נפט) ומגשי נחושת (סאן), איזנו אותם על ברכיהם או הכו בהם בטבעות ובמטבעות כדי ליצור מקצבים מתכתיים והיפנוטיים שליוו את ריקודייהם. אומנויות הבמה ריקודי עם תיאטרון תיאטרון בליבתה הספרותית והמוזיקולוגית של מסורת עממית זו נמצא הדיוואן, אוסף קדוש וקהילתי של שירה פאראליטורגית. אף על פי ששורשיו הסגנוניים נעוצים בתור הזהב העברי-ספרדי של ימי הביניים, הביטוי האקספרסיבי התימני עבר טרנספורמציה עמוקה במהלך המאה השבע-עשרה בהשפעת המשורר-רב שלום שבזי (1) . שבזי חיבר מאות שירים תוך שימוש במסגרת לשונית היברידית חדשנית ששילבה עברית, ארמית וערבית-יהודית. באופן מכריע, טקסטים אלה תוכננו במיוחד לביצוע קולי ולא לקריאה דוממת של כתבי הקודש (8) . הרפרטואר הפואטי שלו התייחס למגוון נושאי רחב, החל מהרהורים פילוסופיים קפדניים על שיבת ציון האסכטולוגית, ועד לנרטיבים עממיים אלגוריים נגישים. כתוצאה מכך, יצירתו של שבזי נותרה המסגרת המבנית והיסודית למסורת השירה התימנית העכשווית. התרבות התימנית האקספרסיבית, הפועלת בתוך מבנים סוציו-דתיים נוקשים, התפצלה לשני מסלולים נפרדים ומגדריים, שלכל אחד מהם פרופיל אסתטי ולשוני ייחודי (2) . הרפרטואר הגברי: תחום זה בוצע אך ורק בעברית ובארמית, שפות שנרכשו אך ורק באמצעות הכשרה פורמלית באוריינות דתית בתוך הקהילה (חדר). ביצוע קולי גברי התרחש במסגרת מפגשים קהילתיים ופראליטורגיים בעלי מבנה הדוק, והתקדם מבחינה מבנית מהנשיד - מבוא קולי רציני, לא מדיטטיבי ומדיטטיבי - לשירה, יצירה דינמית ומדיטטיבית המלווה בריקוד קצבי וכלי הקשה (1) . אלמנטים תמטיים בתחום זה נותרו תיאולוגיים ביותר, תוך הדגשת אהבה אלוהית, גלות היסטורית וגאולה לאומית. הרפרטואר הנשי: לעומת זאת, המסורת הנשית הורכבה כולה בשפה התימנית-ערבית ונשמרה אך ורק באמצעות העברה בעל פה עקב הדרה שיטתית של נשים מאוריינות טקסטואלית פורמלית (2). מבחינה מוזיקלית, ז'אנר זה היה חילוני, רגשי מאוד ונזיל מבחינה מבנית. נשים השתמשו בשירה ככלי לביטוי תלונות אישיות וחברתיות, תוך פירוט הקשיים של עבודת בית, נישואים בכפייה, לידה ואבל משפחתי (3) . ביצוע נשי שלט בחגיגות ביתיות ובמחזור החיים, ויצר ציר זמן טקסים מורכבים, בני מספר ימים, כגון החינה והזאפה (תהלוכת כלה). למוזיקה של יהודי תימן הייתה השפעה מיוחדת על התפתחות המוזיקה הישראלית משום שהיא נתפסה על ידי העולים החדשים הראשונים כקשר לשורשיהם המקראיים. המוזיקה של העברים הקדמונים, כתב המוזיקולוג א.ז. אידלסון, "נשמרה בזיכרון ובפרקטיקה במרכזים יהודיים שונים. קהילה יהודית תימנית חיה בישראל כבר לפני שנת 1900, והחלוצים האירופיים שהגיעו בשנות ה-20 התאהבו בסגנון התימני". אהרן עמרם היה הראשון שהקליט מוזיקה תימנית באמצעות כלים מחוץ למסורת. בין הכלים בהם ליווה את שירתו התימנית המסורתית היו גיטרה, כינור, קאנון, חצוצרה, טרומבון וכלי הקשה. מוזיקה תימנית הגיעה לקהל עולמי בשנות ה-80 כתוצאה ממאמציה של הזמרת הישראלית עפרה חזה, שאלבומה "שירי תימן" הפך ללהיט בינלאומי בקרב חובבי מוזיקת עולם. ההגירה ההמונית של כ-49,000 יהודי תימן למדינת ישראל שהוקמה במהלך מבצע "מרבד הקסמים" (1949–1950) שינתה מחדש באופן קיצוני את הנוף התרבותי של האזור (7) . מוזיקולוגים ומלחינים ציונים אירופאים מוקדמים רומנטיזצו את הפולקלור התימני, וסיווגו אותו אידיאולוגית כקפסולת זמן היסטורית טהורה ששמרה על השרידים האקוסטיים "הטהורים והבלתי מושחתים" של העת העתיקה המקראית. בשנות ה-30 וה-40 של המאה ה-20, הזמרת התימנית ברכה צפירה חקרה והקליטה שירים תימניים רבים, וגם שרה יצירות מקוריות בסגנון תימני. דוגמה לכך היא השיר "שתו האדרים", עם מילים מאת אלכסנדר פן ולחן מאת נחום נרדי. ברכה צפירה שינתה לצמיתות את הקאנון המוזיקלי הישראלי על ידי איסוף מנגינות תימניות מקומיות וסינתזתן עם עיבודים תזמורתיים קלאסיים מערביים. במקביל, הכוריאוגרפית רינה ניקובה פירקה תנועות חתונה תימניות מסורתיות כדי למסד את "הצעד התימני", שהפך לעמוד השדרה הכוריאוגרפי המובהק של ריקודי העם הלאומיים הישראליים (4) . בשנת 1984, הזמרת הבינלאומית עפרה חזה גישרה על הפער בין אתנומוזיקולוגיה היסטורית לתקשורת פופולרית עולמית. אלבומה פורץ הדרך "שירים תימניים" חילץ את הקישוטים הקוליים המיקרוטונליים של הדיוואן ושילב אותם על גבי רצף תופים דיגיטלי. ההצלחה הבינלאומית של הסינגל שלה "אם נינאלו" שילבה בהצלחה פולקלור תימני היסטורי בתרבות המוזיקה המערבית ובמצעדים העולמיים המרכזיים (5) . עפרה חזה גדלה במשפחה תימנית מסורתית שחיה בשכונת התקווה בתל אביב. היא הפכה לשגרירה תרבותית של קהילתה, הן בישראל והן בעולם. אידלסון, א.ז (1925).
